Daryl Schmidt was
John F. Weatherly Professor of New Testament at Texas Christian University. An active Fellow of the Jesus Seminar, he was involved in a
variety of Westar projects. He debuted the Scholars Version translation in The Gospel of Mark, which launched the Scholars Bible, served as a general editor of Scholars Version for
The Complete Gospels, and was coordinator for the translation for The Complete Letters, as well as serving as editor of the New Series of Westar's academic journal, Forum
. He has published numerous articles in his primary field of research, Hellenistic Greek grammar.
