Mary Tumpkin is President of the Universal Foundation for Better Living and Founding Minister of the Universal Truth Center for Better Living in Miami, Florida. She has been instrumental in creating two independent non-profit affiliates: the Universal Truth Community
Development Corporation to help address business development, housing, and educational needs of a surrounding community and the Universal Academy, a child
care and early learning center. A widely acclaimed teacher and minister, she has lectured throughout the United States, as well as in England, Canada, South America, and the Caribbean.
Francis Macnab is Executive Minister of St Michael's Uniting Church, Melbourne, Australia, where his weekend programs draw members from as far as 150 miles. He is also Executive Director of the Cairnmillar Institute,
Melbourne's largest psychotherapy center, which he founded in 1961, and co-founder of the Australian Foundation for Aftermath Reactions in 1990. The author of
twenty-two books, Dr. Macnab has lectured throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America, and has received numerous honors, including membership in the Order of Australia.
Leslie Penrose is adjunct professor of practical theology at Phillips Seminary and the pastor of the Community of Hope in Tulsa, Oklahoma, glowingly described by Brandon Scott in his new book on parables (Re-Imagine the
World). Ordained a Methodist, she and her church joined the United Church of Christ in order to be inclusive of gays and lesbians. She is the recipient in 2002 of Tulsa's Spirit
Award for courage and spirit in community service. Rev. Penrose writes and speaks widely on AIDS issues and on building communities of justice and diversity.
